CASA of Berks County Welcomes Three New Members to Board of Directors

CASA of Berks County proudly announces the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors following a vote at the organization’s Annual Meeting in May 2025. The new board members bring a wealth of professional expertise, personal passion, and deep commitment to CASA’s mission of advocating for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Jennifer Mehall, Vice President at ASRC Federal, joins the board with a desire to contribute to the direction, mission, and success of CASA Berks. “I believe making a meaningful impact on a cause I believe in will provide a sense of personal purpose and positive impact on the lives of the children we serve and support,” Mehall said.

Carol Heffner, Regional Director of the Early Learning Resource Center at Community Services for Children, has spent her career serving vulnerable children and families. “I wanted to join the Board of Directors because I strongly believe in the work of CASA,” Heffner shared. “Children are the future, and when they thrive the community thrives. I am excited to share my knowledge and experience to support the amazing work of the CASA volunteers.”

Alina Kitchell, Federal Programs Coordinator at Agora Cyber Charter School and a current CASA volunteer, brings firsthand advocacy experience to the board. “I am a current CASA who believes in the CASA mission of advocating for children,” said Kitchell. “It is my hope to help strengthen and grow the CASA program so more kids can be served.”

Board President Tim Greusel, Owner of the Quality Enhancement Support Team (QEST), expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointments. “I am thrilled to welcome our three newly installed members to the CASA board,” said Greusel. “Their collective depth of experience and their dedication to the mission of the organization are an invaluable asset. I look forward to working with each new board member as each brings their unique talents and commitment to serve and support the lives of abused and neglected children in the Berks County community.”

CASA of Berks County is grateful for the service and dedication of all board members and looks forward to the contributions of its newest leaders as the organization continues to expand its reach and impact in the region.
