Mission & Vision

Who We Are

Since 2015, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Berks County, an independent non-profit, has served as a voice in the courtroom for abused and neglected foster children. We recruit and train concerned citizens to serve as a volunteer child advocate, known as a CASA volunteer. By meeting with the child’s family members, doctors, teachers, and foster parents, the CASA volunteer ensures that the judge in the family court system is aware of all the facts to make the best determination for the child’s future.

Our Mission

To provide a competent, responsible, and compassionate court-appointed community volunteer to advocate for each child who faces abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment; our goal, to restore their well-being and ensure the eminent right to a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.

Our Vision: Serving Every Child

We envision a safe and positive future for all children facing abuse and neglect to break the cycle through the provision of support to become healthy, empowered adults.
