Youth in Transition Counseling Program

Help a Teen Exit Foster Care With Someone in Their Corner

YOUTH in Transition is a volunteer-based therapy program for foster teens who have no family connections.  We are seeking licensed therapists who can offer time-limited support to youth who’ve experienced instability and loss---and are still showing up, trying to survive and grow.

We know your time is valuable.  Your emotional energy is limited. And your professional choices are deeply personal.  But if you’ve ever wondered how your skills could change a person’s story in a truly meaningful way – this is it.

YOUTH in Transition is a new initiative from CASA of Berks County, building on a decade of experience connecting volunteers with foster youth. Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how consistent, caring relationships—especially from those who show up by choice, not paycheck—can change a young person’s life. Now, we’re taking that insight further. This program intentionally pairs teens aging out of foster care with licensed clinical therapists, offering compassionate, trauma-informed support during one of life’s most vulnerable transitions.
